You think "peace" is a kind of power, don't you?  It's interesting. I guess, from your opinion, war is the power of killing lives and their treasure, and peace is that of willing happiness.

I'd like you to know more about world's history, especially about Japan. Japanese had made very sad historical facts. Many problems are still left.

However, so, we have to find the way to contribute world's peace, I think.

Description of my impressions

I was really impressed by your report. You considered world peace and I learned many things from your report because you have different opinion. And your English grammar is excellent. Your report was difficult for me to read. I must study hard to write as well as you. I will mention some points that I felt.

Firstly, the most important thing is peace. I really think so. Peace is forever wish people all over the world. World peace will never come if only all people have happiness.

Secondly, you said peace in the place where is no war is like police in the place is no criminal. It is very interesting. When war break out，peace will come and stop it, right?

But it is man who makes war so man must make peace. I hope all people will be happy.

Hello! My name is Yoko. I read your letter.

In your letter, you said, "What is the use of peace without wars? That is just like the values and use of the police in a place with no criminals at all." These words impressed me very much because I've never thought such a thing before. 

At first, I thought it was right. But now I think that peace does not appear in order to stop wars. It is a right all creatures have had since they were born. So peace is a natural situation, and wars often destroy them.

People have passed though many wars. So we have had enough!! No one wish for wars. But there are still some wars in the world. Why do they try to solve their problems with violence? If they solve them doing so, there will be no peace at all. To get true peace, they must conflict at talks.

I read your writing in my class.

I almost agree with you. But, I don’t think “both war and peace are existing and will live forever”. So I’m not good at English that I may not understand you want to give us. But, without wars’ existence, peace has no worth? 

You know, if we live without wars, we take it for granted and don’t appreciate the peace very much.

Well, in order to know the importance of peace, do we need wars now and then? I don’t think so. Wars are nonsense!!

First of all, it costs too much. Secondly, wars destroy buildings. These matters also prevent us from developing our countries. And, wars rob human lives. We cannot avoid any of these matters. Apart from reconstructing buildings, wounds which were left people’s heart cannot be blotted out simply.

Do you have met people who were wounded body and soul by the war? I have never met them, but I have seen television programs, video, material, and photographs about wars. It was miserable included dread and despair. When I first saw them, I thought that why do we have to see such a awful things ever now. But then, I have been learning about wars, I came to think that many people should know dread of wars. And I think we don’t have to repeat wars.

It is our wish not only Japan but also all over the world.

There is no nation needs war. For human beings, for the world, we should throw away wars and construct a peaceful world.

Hi!! I read your letter. I was surprised with your thought when I read your letter. I have not think peace is on the back of wars. Peace is very important for people in the world. But I think peace is not always on the back of wars. Because I think peace is always around us, and we must keep it. Wars aren’t need.

I think human is foolish. How do you think? People broke beautiful natures and killed many friends all over the world for the sake of winning honor of own country. Nature and human life are very wonderful things. We threw away them with spending a lot of money.

People are beginning to realize peace is irreplaceable and wars aren’t need at least. Now, many countries still do battles. I want people in the world to be happy.

I learn Nepal in my class. And I can know about social condition, financial, religion, mysterious structures and wonderful nature of Nepal. I don’t know other developing countries well. But I think there are big differences on financial, social condition in the world. I think developing countries were involved in prides of advanced countries. I think Japan helps these countries on financial. But is it OK? Are there things that we must do? How do you think about my opinion?

Peace is important. And everyone knows about it. I think wars don’t happen and peace is always around us if people in the world keep in mind that peace is important and irreplaceable. Because peace of the world and human life are more important than honor of countries.

I was impressed by your essay about wars and world peace. I don’t have knowledge about war very much, so I thought I have to study about world history and tragedy of wars more.

Japan has passed peaceful life since The World War �U came to end . But many people are suffering from civil war and ethnic conflict in the world yet. A lot of innocent children are wounded in guns and land mines. And many people are starving . We have to make effort to help these people and prevent wars.

All people in this world desire peace. We have to cooperate with all people for world peace. I think that we can’t realize a peaceful world without cooperation of all people. For that purpose, we should know each culture, language, custom, and appreciate each other. I think it is especially necessary for us to come into contact with other minds in such a busy world.

I hope to come true the real world peace as soon as possible.

But we need peace even if there are no wars and battles. If a country is in times of famine, its peace won't come without coming good condition or other country's help.

Peace is made up of various things. We should help each other for our world peace.

There some battles in this world yet. But someday they will notice it is foolish of them to fight.

But can you say such a thing if a war take the lives of your precious people? It is very difficult to know how is peace. But I think peace can exist without war. As we experienced the two big wars, we should have the wisdom to know how important peace is, and how terrible wars, atomic bombs, other many weapons are.

In this world, there are many races and religion. And there are many thoughts. But I believe the thought to peace is one. So, in 21^st century, we must appreciate each other so that we would not give rise to those miserable wars again. And people all over the world must notice that nothing will be born by having nuclear weapons.

I thought that you studied well about the history of the world peace. But you wrote on peace too much things, so it was not easy for me to understand your thought of the peace. Writing in a systematically sentence is better, I think.

I know that peace is one of the most important things in the world. Probably, most of the people wish for the world peace. But, in fact, wars and battles exist. That’s stupid. Why do they kill each other? The death brings only a tragedy. We should keep in mind that many people shed tears. And people of the world should understand mutual culture, religion, and idea.

I think you have very strong opinion about war and peace. Your writing about "When war was adding poison to human lives, peace came along and granted nectar them and thus protected them." Was very moved me. That is an excellent expression, I think.. While I was reading your writing, I admired your opinion about peace and war. And you wrote much information about historical fact, and I could understand well.

I think war must not exist. You wrote "Wars can only destructions, whereas peace

constructions." But, no wars exist is most important things, isn't it? Certainly your thinking is not wrong.  In this world, there are many people and there are various opinions. But think about importance of peace is very important.

Now, still many countries are plunged in war. And many dispute exist there. People more think flexible about other country's politics, culture, society and customs. In doing so, we can understand each other well, and this world get a great power. It's "peace".

After I read your report, I thought about peace. We say and hear the word "peace" usually. What is peace? And why peace is said to be so important?

First, let's think about peace. Someone says that peace is an environment where we can live without wars and battles. But if there are no wars, is there no peace? I think no. In my opinion, peace is an environment where people can live and feel comfortable. Wars and battles are examples of things that destroy peace. So, I'm now living in Nagasaki, Japan, and I'm having a good life and feeling comfortable. This is peace for me. You wrote there is no values and use of peace without wars. But I think it is wrong. Even if there are no wars, peace is existent. The moment you feel comfortable or relax in your life, that's peace, I suppose.

Second, talk about importance of peace. In former, I said peace is comfortable environment. Thinking peace like that, importance of it is evident. If comfortable things were deprived, we feel very melancholy and lose energy. Also, peace we have now comes after a lot of wars. It stands on many innocent people's life and many sorrows. From these reasons, we have to protect peace so that it would never lose from us.

But I think that war do not necessarily bring us peace. Actually，it way be very difficult to get rid of wars in this world. But when war ended，people lost many important things，loved people, property, food etc. And their minds and bodies were wounded. Even if war ended，peace would not come to us soon. Thank you for your letter.  I was able to understand your feelings about what the peace is.  I was amazed of your opinion that both war and peace exists together.  I have never thought like that!!  Most people may agree with me, I think. Everyone feel the war is not good to make the world happy.  Because the wars make too much victims, and it left nothing but grief and soul of revenge for all people in the world.  But, I realized that after the war, in some cases, people regret cruel affair they have done and try to cultivate the peaceful world without any battles and wars.  The proof of this brief is organizations, in particular UNO. It may symbols of world peace. However, on the contrary, today there are some wars and battles in the world.  We have already realized how important the peace is and the wars don’t have to happen. We never need too much victims. I was born and brought up in the wealthy era. I have not experienced a life without food, money and place to sleep. A lot of Japanese eat food and dump the leavings. I give a instance around me. I have a part time job at bakery about four times a week. Every day, a lot of bread are left and they are casted out all. The quantity is surprising. About two hundred bread are thrown away. I think how many people suffering and dying from starvation are able to be saved their life! My heart aced. In this point, Japan is poor and becoming dull. That is to say, Japanese spirit are thirsty and are not full at all because of overflowing things. Conversely, people of developing countries have richer heart than that of people of developed countries.

I think that we must see to things which we are not able to look at but very important for us to be alive all the time.
